The After School Art Program showcased it’s work at the Spring Art Show.
The theme for the year was “Art Around the World”. Students had the opportunity to experience the cultures of India, Tibet, Egypt, Panama, Africa, Japan, Europe, Russia, Mexico and others by learning about and creating artwork from those places. During the course of the year, students worked with oil pastels, watercolors, clay, silk painting, construction paper, markers, tempera paints and other media. Emphasis is placed on creating a unique piece of art that comes from within. At the end of each class, students gave feedback to each other about their artwork.
